I recently hired an attorney from Hightower/Reff Law to attempt to establish paternity and custody of my two year old son. I did my initial consultation with a very young attorney that was assigned to my case and I spoke with her for an hour about my goals/intentions. She assured me that I had everything to gain and that she would get to work on my case immediately. A entire month passed by and I heard nothing from my attorney from Hightower/Reff. Multiple emails and phone calls were not returned by this attorney. Day after day with no news or updates on my case. Finally, she called me back and the only news she had for me after an entire month of time, was that there is a law that exists (THAT SHE WAS NOT AWARE OF), that complicates my case and prevents me from being able to easily establish paternity or custody. I had to wait for an entire month for this attorney to tell me this tiny piece of information. This is IMCOMPETENCE!! This attorney was not fit for my case and she did not know what she was doing. I burned up several thousand dollars with her further researching this law (Acknowledgement of Paternity), that she was not aware of. My only regret is that I did not pull the plug on this law office much sooner and saved myself the time and money! Ridiculous experience and completely unprofessional on their part.

Tasha and the entire staff were amazing! I didn't know what I needed but they walked me through it step-by-step. During COVID restrictions they made it very easy to do everything except finalize and sign by TELEPHONE...which for an older person is SO MUCH BETTER THAN ZOOM. I know others who have put off completing a will because their only option was Zoom or wait until restrictions are lifted. It may be silly but I know there are very many of us who are not spring chickens and are a little intimidated by all the new technology. Tosha was very perceptive and respectful in this regard and I greatly appreciate her help...and the help of the entire staff. Could not have been easier or less stressful.

Joy Kathurima was very responsive always available to answer questions and listened to all of my concerns. She handled everything very quickly and for a fair and decent price. I will recommend her to anyone I know who needs help. I can't say how much I appreciate her and it was amazing how fast everything was handled.
