Very sufficient, responsive company

In the game of life, the rules for most of us are learned through trial and error. Unfortunately...that error you made, now leads to a trial. How much of your wealth is in jeopardy? I'd bet for most of you, all of it. I say this because I am a Real Estate investor. Admittedly, I'm more of a novice. I ran my own machine shop for 25 years. That was my primary focus. My Real Estate side hustle never got the attention that my shop did. Not because I didn't think it was important. I figured I'd get to it when it made enough money for me to care. At 25 years I decided to shut down my shop. I was then able to sell the building that it housed. I 1031 exchanged into an apartment complex in Texas. The next thing I knew, I was retired. 100% on passive income. Now I needed to get serious with Real Estate. I was struggling with my team of professional people. On the third day I knew that I would be a customer. I also knew that all of my assets were in jeopardy. But I didn't realize that they were vulnerable to a single lawsuit from any one of them. Or me having the misfortune of being in a car accident. Clint talked about people coming to him. It was always after something bad had happened. It made me realize how vulnerable I am. I know, you're thinking scare tactics. I thought about that too. After all, he is a Lawyer. But, he was relating real life stories. He has over 20 years of experience. He has seen many people fighting for their livelihoods, their properties, and their legacies. Imagine having to start over right now. As he talked about some of the bad positions that people put themselves in. I thought about how worried I was when a tornado was blasting through Kansas. That Tornado passed right through a little town where I had a 200 thousand dollar 4 plex. I kept telling myself please don't let anyone get hurt on my property. Well, a giant Oak tree fell right on it. Thankfully nobody was hurt. Let me tell you...a $5000.00 deductible may not seem like much when you're buying insurance. But, it sure hurts when you cough it up. I was happy to get away with such a small price. A death on my property would have wiped out a lifetime of work. It was after that tornado that I decided to go to the Anderson 3 day event. I'm so glad I did. I learned all about how to structure my assets to protect my life's work. I learned how to structure a business to hold these assets. And best of all. I learned that with the proper business and entity structure, you can keep more of your money from Uncle Sam. They say that hiring a professional should not only pay for their work, but that they should make you money. I can say this without a doubt.
