I reached out to their office with some major questions as my absurdly long-lasting worker’s compensation case was finally coming to conclusion. Darcie is freaking amazing. She is incredibly knowledgeable and was so thoughtful in the advice she provided. She clearly explained the options that were available to me and after listening to what was most important to our family—gave me some powerful advice. She did not ever try to push representation on me, she simply helped me sift through this confusing process. Very grateful and would definitely recommend.

I contacted Jay Short - Attorney at Law because I was having issues with Workman's Comp mistreating me, I was not getting my payments- I was being forced to return to work when I still needed surgery. The offices of Jay Short treated me with kindness, understanding and patience. I am grateful for how Darcie Berrington eased my anxiety and handled my aggravations with Workman's Comp swiftly. I thought that was all I needed. I would have to state, on my own I could never achieve the justice Jay Short brought to my case. We had to appeal, however, on my own- I would have never thought to do that. Jay Short personally accompanied me to my Dr. evaluation for my appeal. Thanks Jay Short appealing on my behalf, I was granted 10 times more than I anticipated. I am still in shock from the decision. I was overwhelmed with monetary results ( I still am), it was an outstanding win. Beyond that- I got more than I EVER anticipated- JUSTICE. With Amazon, it's not likely to walk away feeling compensated. JUSTICE in my case, and, for everything I had been through. I personally didn't end up getting the treatment I wanted, but rather what this office felt would get approved by the insurance company and maximize the payout. I'm at the end of my case, in pain offten, and I'm not happy with my hand, Dr tell me its too much paper work to reopen a work comp case, and I'm having a hard time finding a job. My case is closed and I am on my own. I deeply regret using this attorney. Haven't received a response from Darcy in 2 weeks when I was told they over payed me. She has yet to respond on how this is possible when I just finished my job search yesterday. I'm owed milage for 6 months, 28 day job search, and my school won't give me my documents until they get their last 8 months of tuition. After I signed the contract anytime I asked questions they wanted more money to advise. I was told to hold off on another legal matters, till my hand was better only to find out I waited and the time limit has passed. I had a side hustle they told me I could not have, but I feel thats because they don't want to do extra paperwork. Make sure if they verbally tell you that negotiating a cashing out education options is covered under the contract it states the same in the written contract before you sign it. It's a short list of things I would do twice. Using this office is at the top of this list.

My experience to date has been great. i know that I could not have accomplished what Mr. Short has concerning my caae. I did not have to wait for testing surgery all handled quickly. Not enough praise for Jay. Darcie ans Breesa glad I chose this firm
