We met with Rothkoff Law Group shortly after my father suffered a severe stroke and his outcome was uncertain. Jerry and his team were able to quickly assist us in preparing for the next steps in my father’s care while helping us carefully plan for my mother’s future. Choices had to be made and we were not prepared to navigate the process surrounding long-term care. The care coordination efforts we received were invaluable, giving us peace of mind that we were making the best decisions at each turn. Best phone call I ever made. While speaking with Mr. Rothkoff for the first time, he asked "why are looking for legal help with managing your mother's estate?" As Power of Attorney for my mother, I was terrified I would make a mistake that would be to her financial detriment. I lived in one state, she was currently in another and was re-locating to a third. I had heard horror stories from people who just didn't know how to navigate elder care law. When I told him such, he replied: "We'd love to help you. When can you come in?" Jerry and his team were always there when needed. Shannon dealt with the nightmare of getting my mother approved for Medicaid and I could have never done it without her. The care team was always available and responded if there was something that needed attention at mom's assisted living facility. The Rothkoff team are very knowledgeable, kind and caring. My sister has short term memory lose and needs care. We were having an issue with medicaid that could have resulted in my sister loosing her medicaid benefits. The Rothkoff team worked diligently on my sister's case. Even speaking to the medicaid general counsel. My sister was able to keep her medicaid benefits. My family is very satisfied with the work of the Rothkoff Team. We would recommend them to anyone with a family member who needs long term care and or having issues with Medicaid.

When the time came that my parents needed more care than what I could do, we needed help getting them the care they needed and covering the financial aspects too. Jerry has gone above and beyond our expectations. His ability to keep his hand on the pulse of the ever changing eldercare landscape combined with his true desire to guide us seemlessly through many difficult decisions has been the answer to our prayers. After suuccessfully raising ten children the time has come to put mom & dads needs first by providing the best care we could find. Not an easy task on your own. We had questions about the new laws, healthcare, the finances and their wills. We really needed help when dad ended up in assisted living after a hospital stay. Life would not be the same. So many concerns and questions. Having a large family there were a lot of opinions of what should happen to mom with a big empty house with dad in a home needing care. Created solid plans for their future allowing for unexpected changes and events. The compassion was there to support us when needed and the legal strategy put us on track and is still working well for us. My parents hired Jerry and his team around 9 months ago and it was one of the best decisions they ever made. My dad has Alzheimer's disease and my mom decided they needed to think about moving to assisted living. Janie and other members of the team gave suggestions on assisted living facilities to consider based on their situation. When they needed help in the interim they recommended excellent home care services. My parents are now in an assisted living facility and Janie continues to advocate for them and help in every aspect of their care. She treats them like they are members of her own family. Besides the amazing service the firm provides regarding my parents' living situation and care, they also assist with processing of the long term care insurance claims. Jacinda has been wonderful working with the insurance company and has saved us countless hours by handling this. The administrative staff is also great to deal with. The scope and depth of their service surprised me, they are so much more than a law firm. That's why I would highly recommend them.

Seven years ago my husband descended into the depths of Alzheimers disease. I had to make quick decisions about his future (and mine). I tried to get information from the Veterans Administration for help to no avail and was in a state of despair when I learned about the Rothkoff practice. Through all this time their help was immeasurable. The very competent and compassionate staff led me through the jungle of regulations and paperwork associated with all the government agencies involved. The details were dizzying. In the end, my husband was placed in assisted living and nursing homes that were close to my home. With the assistance of the Rothkoff firm, they were responsive to all of his needs and I am confident he is getting the best care possible. The beauty of the practice is the way it is organized. The experts on staff deal specifically with the different agencies involved (social security, Veterans Administration, nursing homes, etc.) There are regular care conferences scheduled to answer questions you may have about the care your loved one is receiving. Believe me, when Rothkoff speaks, they listen. I could go on, but just let me say having the Rothkoff team on my side was invaluable in relieving the anxiety this huge undertaking creates.
