My wife and I knew our son needed additional help from our blue ribbon school. Our son has Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD). The district assured us over the years that they “were doing all they could” and thought he was “making good progress.” By sixth grade, we could see he was still grades behind where he needed to be. We were despondent and decided to act. Fortunately, a friend referred us to Jayne. Jayne reviewed our son’s case and walked us through all possible outcomes. We decided to move forward. Utilizing top notch experts, Jayne and her team built a great case that our son needed to be placed in a specialized school out of the district. Jayne was able to negotiate the placement of our son in the school we wanted with all costs covered by the district! I should note, that Jayne was extremely respectful when negotiating with the district but also very effective. It was also obvious that the district was aware of Jayne’s reputation and also treated her with great respect throughout the process. I am sure her reputation was a key component of our success. Our son is in his first year at his new school and is already making great progress. I cannot recommend Jayne highly enough!

After months of frustration dealing with our school district in respect of our special needs child, we found our way to Jayne. Jayne expertise and experience were immediately apparent. Not only did she help us achieve a favorable result with our school district, but, most importantly, she put us on the path toward finding our child the help and support that was needed. She understood the fragility of our situation and was empathetic. At the same time, she was efficient, no-nonsense and results oriented. Highly recommended.

Jayne has been helping me with my son's IEP for the last 7 years. He would not have gotten an appropriate education if it weren't for her and her firm. My son is twice exceptional, and thus, the school did not want to give him an IEP. Then they didn't want to follow it. June not only got him an IEP, but was instrumental in getting him an out of district placement, where he has thrived. I can't say enough thank you's to her for this.

Jayne Wesler has been the attorney for our daughter's case from 2013 to the present. Our daughter's case has involved more than one day school placement, and more than one residential placement. We have felt throughout our case that Jayne has been knowledgeable, careful to maintain a positive relationship with our home district, compassionate in her understanding of our daughter's complex needs, and perhaps most of all, careful to help us manage our expectations when the outcome of negotiations is not predictable by anyone. We have always been pleased with the outcome of our negotiations, but Jayne is careful not to make any promises. We recommend Jayne Wesler without hesitation.

I was referred to Jayne Wesler by another autism parent that was having difficulties with a school district. Within the first 15 minutes of sitting with Jayne, I knew she was the perfect lawyer to represent my son. From the advocacy stage to active dispute, there was never a time when I doubted the advice she gave. Our state mediator even sung Jayne's praises as a kind, calm, and knowledgeable lawyer. Through the ups and downs, she stayed consistently strong and measured. She made calculated and appropriate decisions that were 100% in the best interest of my child. I really can't say enough about her. If you find yourself in an uphill battle with a school district that is not giving an appropriate education for your child, waste no time in hiring Jayne. Our family is forever grateful for her services.
