I have used gillman,capone,bruton law firm to handle my personnel matters. They kept me informed on all matters pertaining to my issue. The key was providing them with any documentation they needed in a timely matter. My situation was handled in an expedited fashion because of that. My legal problem started with a bad business partner and had to do with buying a house in rough shape, renovating it and flipping it. My adversary didn’t hold up his end of the LLC Agreement or a handshake between men to “do it right and by the NJ Building Codes.” Seven months into the project the initial investment ran out and our agreement stated we match additional funds evenly until completion. I counselled with two other lawyers over a one year period to try to take control of my project. My life savings were at stake. And I’m paying all the bills there – alone. My adversary sues me. Justin Gillman and I meet for a consultation. He finds me to be “emotional and passionate about my business and ethics.” I wanted justice and over the next 2 hours Justin Gillman explained the law. There were three issues. Me personally, my LLC, and a bad business partner. It was a tangled web of financial chaos. Justin’s advice was personal bankruptcy immediately. It would stop all state court proceedings and give me control of this matter in Federal Court. Justin was upfront a told me many motions would have to be filed down the road over the next year or more and would be an additional retainer. I agreed and this also bought me time to keep earning money. Justin Gillman has a demeanor that is upbeat, polite and to the point at issue. No matter how angry and frustrated I was at my adversary Justin always assured me this matter will eventually end. I went to Federal Court quite a few times with Justin, even if I wasn’t required to. I watched him work and he is quick with a point, the ultimate professional, and very, very smart. I also wanted the Judge to see my face there and know I was personally involved and concerned. Let it be known I did a 100% pay back with my creditors. The Judge knew it and I felt it made me look like the better man. Over the next two years Justin files countless motions on my behalf and countersues my adversary. There is someone behind the scenes who deserves special mention. She is Shannon Haganey, Justin’s assistant. We had many conversations, answering a quick question if she was able to, giving me updates, sending emails, etc… But over two years as Justin’s client I found Shannon to be very kind and sympathetic to my plight. Thank you very much Shannon! I found the whole office staff to be professional and accommodating. Thank you to all! Well finally the outcome. Justin won every motion he filed on my behalf over two and a half years. Last Fall 2019 we are all in Court, including my adversary and his lawyer. I asked Justin to settle it all. My adversary didn’t want to. He was going to lose money but so was I. I sold my Amityville Horror house six months earlier and the proceeds were in Justin’s account. Justin told me that settling was an excellent idea. It would allow me to move on. He also told me I have to “forgive myself” for what happened. Justin explained to my adversary’s lawyer he really had no choice but to settle and move on also. And we did. Now I’ll tell you something I’ll never forget. We’re all in front of the Judge and Justin Gillman stands up and says to my adversary – “ I want you to stand up in open Court in front of His Honor and us and swear under oath you will abide by this settlement because quite frankly, I just don’t trust you!” Absolutely brilliant Mr. Justin Gillman!!! I got a good chunk of my investment back! Justin, thank you, thank you, thank you!! From the bottom of my heart. You guided me through a web of chaos and frustration and brought me back to life. You always had a perspective to get me to look at this with different views. That my friend is your gift. You are a brilliant attorney and a good Human Being! Highly recommended. The staff is very helpful and follows up to have things in place. Justin Gillman is an awesome attorney who just simply thinks of his clients and tries to give them as much time and guides them through. Even though, I was unsure and very nervous about the situation, but he always managed to find time and walked me through the process.
