I was the plaintiff in a hearing for a Final Restraining Order against my husband (soon to be ex husband). Mr. DeAngelis represented my husband. I could not afford a lawyer and legal aid was unable to help me. I represented myself in a 5 day trial, conducted my own direct examination, faced Mr. DeAngelis' cross examination, conducted my own cross examination of his witnesses, introduced evidence, etc. etc. all on my own. I don't have any formal education (just got my GED in 2017), started learning English these past few years, have no money, etc. and I still prevailed in Court and was granted the FRO.
