Pros
1
Personalized, compassionate, and understanding legal services
“Helene had the knowledge and fortitude necessary to ask the right questions and use the appropriate information to benefit my case and bring settlement to fruition. More importantly she did an amazing job keeping me informed and teaching me about the overall process to ensure I was comfortable and well-informed at all times.”
2
Highly knowledgeable and skilled attorneys
“Helayne is an amazing lawyer and person. She's fair, honest, and highly knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable sharing my story with her and made an ugly process a lot easier.”
3
Efficient and effective in resolving complex legal matters
“Helene was instrumental in stepping in, taking charge, and resolving in a few short months what could have taken another couple years on my own.”
4
Respected by peers and judges
“It was evident in the court house that she is highly respected by her own peers and judges and I was extremely fortunate to be represented by such fine counsel during my divorce.”
5
Dedicated and responsive team
“The entire team at Herbert & Weiss was a pleasure to work with. I was always kept up date on all aspects of the process, received prompt answers, and was never left to feel as simply "another nameless client".”
Cons
1
Lack of professionalism and responsiveness
“She will take your money with the zest of a freshly graduated lawyer. Unfortunately, once you leave, it's all fizzle from there. She will Not make your matter a priority, she WILL send countless letters and dwindle away your retainer then demand additional funds within 5 days (including weekends).”
2
Potential for delays and mistakes in handling cases
“From the start this office messed up our case by filing the initial divorce complaint in the WRONG county. Once I brought this to their attention (because they did not even notice), they filed a motion to change venue to have the case transferred with the proper court who had jurisdiction of our case.”
3
Lack of communication and updates
“She represented to my husband that she was working on the final agreement and when we appeared in court for the first time in early November, the Judged scheduled us for a final divorce hearing foe 12.21.2022 TODAY, where he would pronounce us divorced since we already had an agreement in the works. She was given an additional 6 weeks or more to complete the agreement she was supposedly working on since May. We followed up countless times on the status of the agreement and she never provided an update.”
