+UPDATED+ As soon as I posted 1 star review Matt called me next day. the conversation was a very inappropriate and harrasing me to take my review down. 1. I can review anytime and you cannot mock me about leaving a review a year later. 2. you offer to refund remaining balance minus the filing fee but to tell me that you have a family and a child to feed and you will give up your personal expense to pay me off? Well you kept half of my retainer fee when i was metally and physically destroyed, and from a person who was unemployed. 3. Dont tell me you will "apologize" if i wanted when the entire conversation over the phone was about how you still want to argue about how your job was done appropriately. I hired you for uncontested divorce and all of sudden telling me that you processed it as contested and still nothing was wrong. who writes a marital settlement agreement when my ex-husband doesnt even know that he is getting divorced? also where is the "agreement" of the both parties to even write up a settlement agreement? So, I am declining your offer. I think this review is crucial for other people to see before they hire you. I hope no other person has to go through what I went through. Pls stop calling me everyday. ------------------------------------------------------- Worst lawyers ever. Do not contact him for divorces because matthew rosen lied about my entire divorce process when i hired him. 1. I learned that when you file for divorce in bergen county, it only takes few days to get a docket number. Instead he lied that it takes one month. when I contacted him around one month period, it took another week to reply to me with a docket number. 1. Matthew couldn't even serve the papers to my ex-husband and wasted 2 months. When you have limited time to serve the papers before court ignores it. 2. Without serving the papers, He asked me to write up CIS. When it's an uncontested divorce, you dont even need a CIS. 3. He wrote a marital settlement when my ex-husband wasn't served and didn't even have a lawyer on his side to negotiate with. He did it just to bill. 4.He billed me with unprofessional word doc with bunch of typos like "documens" and you cant even read the lines correctly because the format was covering up the enxt line, bunch of hours that he wasted 3 months. Also with a word doc that didn't even have his logo as a letter head. Very unprofessional. I think a supermarket receipt is way professional than his bill. He did all that so he can bill me and tried to not give me a refund on wasted time. I was ready to sue him and he eventually refunded me half of the retainer fee. Thank God I hired a different lawyer to finish my divorce. From the new laywer i learned that all he did was waste my prescious time and realize that he didn't do any work or did work in an inappropriate timeline. This Firm has two lawyers, and both of them emailed me for the time I hired them, and obviously, they don't know what they are doing. There are many people divorcing for the first time and not knowing the process. But these lawyers makes them look like they know the process and they are professionals, but they didn't know what to do at all. Seriously, if you don't know what you are doing, don't take the case and don't act like you know everything on initial phone calls so can rip off your clients. Stay away from this law firm.
