If you want to put up the best fight you can for your child, Susan is the one you want in your corner. My son was diagnosed with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) last year and we tried to push him through a daycare setting, but over time it became more clear he needed help as his behaviors escalated. At first, we didn't really think we needed her. We thought we could navigate through the system without her. Then, life changed. Our son was about to get kicked out of daycare and we weren't positive he would qualify for an IEP in the Freehold Township District. Susan (full disclosure: my cousin's wife) represented us at the initial IEP meetings. She was incredibly responsive and worked at all hours of the day for us. We believe her presence alone during these meetings got our son the extra attention, help and care he needed through the school system. Susan is clearly well-liked, connected, and loved within Monmouth county school systems. At the end of the day, Susan will explore all options to get your child the help they need to succeed in school.
