I just want to thank Mrs.Cohen for saving my life. In 2020, I was wrongfully charged of murder knowingly + attempted murder and was facing some serious time. My original lawyer wanted me to plea to a 7+ year deal and something just felt off about it. I’m a merchant marine of 5+ years, and I have no priors. Jill Cohen took my case at a way more reasonable price than all other local lawyers I initially reached out to for help. After the court dragged their feet with providing any evidence for my case, her firm filed a 30 day motion to produce lab results. My experience with Jill Cohen went well. The price was fair, and the representation was acceptable. Being that the charges brought against me were in a municipality that I have a history with, and a Prosecutor that is as tough as nails and is rarely known to drop or downgrade anything that could have resulted in jail or prison time, she was able to work it out so that I walked away with only a fine, and a six month (non-reporting) probation period. Considering the case involved a stolen vehicle, a driving on a revoked, and several other complications, I was satisfied and relieved with the outcome. Now I can go forward with my life and focus on my sobriety and my future. Another great thing about Jill is that she clearly has compassion for those who are struggling in addiction and understands that addiction can lead good people to make mistakes, and that a good outcome in court can be what makes or breaks their future. I helped my brother find a lawyer, for charges filed against him by his crazy ex,(bro was innocent and we had several proofs to support that).
