I was very pleased with the firm and the outcome they achieved for my case. Everyone from Matt & Yannick to the paralegals to the secretary were extremely helpful and always available to answer any questions or issues, which was greatly appreciated while dealing with the stress around the case. They worked hard to get the best result possible and I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. They were excellent all around and I would definitely recommend them and would work with them again.

Please be advised, Mr Portella is no longer employed to represent me on any matter moving forward. Mr Portella neglected his client’s wishes, that were made clear since retainment, that NO offer or downgrade of any violations were to take place for the 5 tickets issued. When directly instructed that NO offer is acceptable and to Reject any/all offers from the prosecutor, Mr Portella attempted to intimidate me into taking his ‘deal’; threatening to drop me as a client if I did not accept. So I informed him at that moment of his termination and requested a check for the remaining balance be mailed, to which he responded “you’re not getting anything back”. It is my belief that Mr Portella never intended to carry out the wishes of his client, as the ‘deal’ was made without the client’s knowledge, consent or approval, and against the client’s specific instruction. Mr Portella clearly stated that he would NOT carry out his client’s wishes because it would ‘embarrass’ the officers who issued the violations. Mr Portella was retained to do a job for which he expressed he was NOT going to do, nor does it appear he ever had the intention of doing. As a result, Mr Portella has misrepresented his services and should have referred me to a more intelligent and capable legal firm. Please forward me my entire file or make arrangements for me to pick it up on a thumb drive. I will also be issuing a complaint to the Bar Association and submitting an Attorney Grievance Complaint Form in the matter.
