We have used Dan Perlman for two real estate purchases and got good advice and great professional service. We have subsequently reached out for advice on a couple of different issues which he has either helped us with or recommended the right person for us which we so appreciated.

Dan has closed all three of the properties I have purchased in NJ. On the first I hired him to clean up a mess started by a different attorney and once I did the process was smooth sailing. I used Dan from the start for both my second and third purchases (including the sales of each home as I moved). The process was clean, on time and the closings moved as promised each time. The fees were fixed on every occasion, without any unexpected charges or additions. In addition, I have on several occasions consulted Dan for legal advice on other real estate matters. He was generous with both his time and assistance. I have referred Dan to friends many times and know they have had the same experience. I will certainly continue to do so.

Dan was recommended by our realtor who was selling our 2 family house in Hoboken. We were very pleased with the service Dan provided - he was personable and efficient. His fee structure was very reasonable. We hadn't bought/sold a house in 13 years so Dan walked us through the process, was very patient and addressed all of our questions and concerns. His assistant, Ashley was extremely polite and helpful during all stages of the process. We were very happy with all aspects of the sale and are happy to recommend Dan (and Ashley).

When it came time to update my will, living will & power of attorney that I had drafted by Mr. Perlman 3 years ago, it seemed like it was going to be smooth sailing. I was pleased with the job he orginally did. HOWEVER, this time around my e-mails were never promptly answered and after 7 weeks of him over-promising and under-delivering (starting in October of 2013) I had to withdraw my request for his assistance. His only response was, "I understand. Unfortunately the circumstances were beyond my control. " In early November I had specified I'd appreciate it if the matter could be handled by late November and there didn't seem to be a problem. If there was a problem with the timeline it was certainly within his control to send me a quick e-mail blurb asking for more time or express there was a hold-up. I was treated like a low-level client. I terminated my relationship with his office this past week on 11/22/13. I feel Mr. Perlman this time around was unprofessional and very difficult to get a hold of.
