We had such a wonderful experience with Katrowitz, Goldhammer and Graifman. Kate Carballo is simply amazing. She is personally invested in her clients and guided us through the whole process smoothly. Being involved in an accident and getting hurt is such a harrowing experience but if you have a wonderful and honest personal injury lawyer like Kate it helps to go through that trying time with all the necessary knowledge and guidance. I want to start by saying that I almost never write reviews, however, my experience was so unexpectedly good that I felt compelled to write this review. I went in for a consulation with Randy Perlmutter regarding a post divorce issue. Unfortunately, I used another lawyer for my divorce so the outcome could have been better and I might not still be dealing with ongoing litigation. I did my research and based upon reputation and reviews I chose to go to Kantrowitz, Goldhamer & Graifman. From the initial phone conversation with Sharon, the legal assistant, to meeting with Randy was an exceptional experience. Randy's knowledge, professionalism, and integrity were unsurpassed. He explained my options and gave me the best advise based upon my situation and financial considerations. Surprisingly, he resolved my issue before I even left the office!! My family has not dealt with lawyers much in our lives but I have to say that the KGG firm has made it very easy to overlook any stereotypes. Review from client FP In the fall of 2011 for the first time in my life my wife and I were sued in a civil suit. In need of an attorney I came across the Kantrowitz, Goldhammer & Graifman law firm. Gary Graifman was cited as attorney of the year so I called him to take his firms offer of a free hour of consultation. I was a retired, successful, business marketing executive and came to the meeting with my version of a defense. Gary read my extensive write up, asked me lots of questions. A mild mannered attorney proceeded to lay out his take on the case. He thought he could win the case but warned me that the legal system works slowly and would take time, I came into our meeting expecting to need a bombastic flame thrower. His manner, knowledge of the law and insightful questions convinced me to hire him. Boy, that was the best decision we made in our life. It took 12 years for him to win the case. A total victory despite the plaintiff hiring three different legal firms and trying to mount two legal appeals. Gary was relentless, detailed in his approach while keeping me at bay with my many suggestions and insights. After the plaintiff lost the bench trial the plaintiff appealed. His final rebuttal to the appellate court was a masterpiece in his systematic takedown of the plaintiff's inconsistent testimony, numerous fabrications and falsehoods. In my words it was 'appropriate relentless litigation'. In his firms advertising they characterize it as 'we don't back down'. Lastly, he frequently sought the counsel of his legal partners at his firm. The plaintiff not only lost the case, but we won our counterclaim for about $200,000. After winning the appeal we collected all of the awarded judgment with the 9%-per-year interest mandated by law for all 12 years it took to finalize the case.
