After using different lawyers over the previous six years to handle my divorce and child support revision cases, I had the fortune of finding Steve Piper through a conventional internet search. My previous lawyers seemed more concerned with their own selves than with their clients. My prior military service and its implications in case preparation also proved somewhat confusing to them, and in some cases they simply provided poor counsel. I contacted Steve largely based on his advertised connection with military service. That proved extremely beneficial because he fully understood how military service played into family law cases. His work with me, the questions he asked, and his case preparation clearly reflected not only a firm grasp on military service implications, but also a genuine concern for the welfare of his client...and actually all family members involved. He correctly made respectful attempts to gain a reasonable agreement with my ex-spouse to effectively close the child support terms of our divorce decree upon the emancipation of our youngest child. Despite my ex-spouse's antagonistic rebukes of such attempts, he always maintained a calm and professional manner right up to and through our final court proceeding. In that proceeding, Steve communicated a remarkably cogent and articulate argument to the judge along with a well-prepared case information statement and cover package. He clearly conveyed three vital items...a thorough understanding of all facts, considerable preparation, and obvious professionalism permeated by empathy and respect. As a result, I was awarded a favorable finding, and the child support terms of my divorce decree were closed. I was, am, and will always be grateful to Steve for his help, honesty, and insight...and I will gladly recommend him to anyone who may ever need legal counsel in family matters.

Stephen is a great laywer that helped me through some of the tougher periods of my life, a divorce and an interstate custody battle. He was always available, and I never had an issue with getting him on the phone - even when I was in another state calling during a recess to ask what I should do. Thankfully I haven't needed his services recently, but I recommend him to all of my friends that find themselves in similar situations.
