My divorce came to an end, in the worst way possible. Alyssa DeFuria, was the worst possible attorney anyone could have for a divorce. She had no understanding of the law or the courts . Alyssa tells you what she thinks you wish to hear, gets off the phone quickly . For filing an important divorce motion with the court, she put it together the night before it was due. Sent, with spelling mistakes and information that was not supposed to be included. I would never use her again or recommend her legal services.

Hired her and regretted every minute and second of it. Many mistakes in court documents, hearings, no returned phone calls, overall disaster. No Idea how she graduated law school and passed the bar. Don't waste your time and money ($300 per hour) like I did. Thank me later.

My husband and I first met Alyssa in 2019 when we were served with a post marital judgment case from His ex wife. From the start Alyssa was precise, thorough, and up front. Now, nearly three and half years later with no end in sight, Alyssa continues to fight tirelessly to make our case. Her professionalism is unmatched. Alyssa Defuria is an excellent divorce attorney. I have recommended her and her firm to my close personal friend. I followed her advice and it has been legally sound. After being the victim of domestic abuse and protecting the person that had been abusing me for years (because of financial dependence) I finally got the courage to walk away. Only to have him abuse me in a different way. He lied to the police that I threatened him and got a retraining order againstme, custody of my daughter and then he kicked me out the house with my son (not his child) knowing we had nowhere to go. I called Alyssa and she advised me to go to the police station and file my own restraining order and tell my side of the story. Luckily i had some proof too! So, the judge granted me the restraining order against him, custody of our daughter, and the apartment. Thank you Alyssa! One night away from daughter was too long.

Alyssa worked incredibly hard on my post-divorce litigation which was no easy task. It was incredibly complicated with several moving parts a ton of non-sense created by my ex-wife and her lawyer. Alyssa dealt with it as it came in and always kept me up to speed on the motion. She made me feel verycomfortable throughout the hellish process which included multiple court appearances. I really was reluctant to write a review but when I read the previous person's review I felt compelled to write this. Alyssa did a great job for me and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a divorce attorney in Morris County.

Alyssa DeFuria is one of the most competent, professional and noteworthy lawyers who I have had the pleasure of representing me in my divorce. Far from ordinary and very conscientious, she performs her job with due diligence and respect. She is a high-performance lawyer and has excellent response time to questions. She is patient, competent, thorough, pleasant, knowledgeable, and straight to the point. She goes over everything from start to finish. She is great at what she does and most importantly, she is very compassionate. Definitely a 5-star rating. I would highly recommend Alyssa without a doubt.

I used Alyssa and was disappointed at her work product and general attitude. Type of person to tell you end of business day Monday but totally over promises and under delivers. Submitted documents with misspelled names even after I asked she fix it. Just no attention paid to details and tells you exactly what you need to hear to get you off the phone. For the money you can do better.
