I am (still) dealing with harassment and intimidation from my landlord. I originally had an upfront consultation with Ms. Betner-Gray, who was originally very receptive of my concerns. She originally insisted on sending a demand letter on my behalf, which was when I mentioned how much I feared retaliation from my landlord. She assured me that she would "have my back" should there be any retaliation from the landlord; I made my concerns about retaliation very clear. The letter was great, but when my landlord's attorney responded, along with the retaliatory behavior from my landlord, Ms. Betner-Gray and her team stated that "discrimination" was not one of her practice areas, despite her including discrimination in the original demand letter to my landlord. So now, I am left with a landlord who has been harassing me, ignoring their own lawyer's promises, and retaliating at me as a result of this demand letter. The offices of Ms. Betner-Gray left me in the dark when they said they wouldn't. This was the exact outcome I was afraid would happen, and I expressed this to Ms. Betner-Gray before agreeing to the demand letter. I'm now in a worse situation than I was before contacting this office. This office may be for small things, like sending a simple form with a professional letter-head, or drafting a will. This is not an attorney you want to hire for legitimate landlord-tenant issues. When push comes to shove, she will not represent you.
