Mr. Friedman worked hard to win my case. I was impressed how knowledgeable he was about the details of my Megan's Law case.

Very satisfied with the representation that Jim Friedman provided. I had him in mind for a long period of time and finally selected him for my legal proceedings. Jim is very knowledgeable and experienced, and provides honest and clear advice. He spent a lot of time during our initial meeting answering all my questions and providing as much detail as possible. I felt confident that Mr. Friedman could assist and the results were extremely satisfactory. Frankly, my life has improved greatly here recently as Jim lived up to his impeccable reputation.

I made a huge mistake many years ago that resulted in a 3rd degree felony sex offense conviction and requirement to register under Megan's Law. The weight of this supervision destroyed my marriage, career and nearly my life. The attorney I initially used never explained any of the ramifications of this sentence to me or the severity of its imposition on my life. Just recently I became eligible to be removed from PSL and the Registry. There were 2 attorneys who are well known in handling cases such as this, but I did a little more research and I decided to contact Jim. This is the type of decision that you will probably not have one person who can properly advise you and you may only have one chance to win your case. From the very beginning, he showed incredible patience and great integrity. His thoroughness and understanding of the laws was equally impressive. Surprisingly, his retainer was also far more reasonable than the other 2 firms. He was very candid with me and reluctant to overpromise on the results. He took the time on multiple occasions to explain everything in detail including facets of my case I was unsure as to how they would effect my case. The outcome was most definitely uncertain given I had 2 parole violations. Jim succeeded in obtaining an Order that dismissed both my PSL and Megan's Law registration. Again, I had no one to ask who I should choose to represent me in this life and death decision. I was most fortunate to choose Jim to do so, and now I am free from these bonds. I hope many people see this so that when it is time to remove the Parole shackles from themselves, they too make the right decision. I really thought my case was hopeless. I had retained a lawyer to represent me, but this attorney almost never returned my calls. When I did speak with them I really felt like they just wanted to get me off the phone or out of their office as fast as possible. Mr. James S. Friedman Esq. is a really knowledgeable criminal defense attorney. I hired him because of his professionalism over the phone and his attention to every detail, I explained about the sequence of events that happened to my husband. My husband was in a really bad situation that could of sent him away for a very long time. It was a very old case and most of the original people were retired or gone. Mr. Friedman put in a lot of work running around trying to locate files etc. because of this. And in the end Mr. Friedman was able to get my husband sentenced to only 180 days! The outcome is better then I could have ever imagined. Basically my husband will be home by 2017. The time that he was given is concurrent with the time, that he is currently serving in prison. It took Mr. Friedman only three months to adjudicate my husband's case! I could always reach him on the phone or email! One time I couldn't get him on the phone and before I could hang up he was calling in, on the call waiting! He took his time to answer any questions I had even on weekends! Time never seemed to be an issue for him. I called him at 9:00 at night and he would pick up and not rush me off the phone. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs a criminal defense lawyer. My husband's first language is not english and Mr. Friedman was very patient and understanding with him. We retained Mr. Friedman to handle my son's case in New York City. We were worried because he is just finishing school, and has his whole life in front of him.
