The decision to file for divorce is hard. Finding a lawyer who cares, understands the law and won't take advantage of you is even harder. After my initial consultation with Steve, I knew he was the right attorney to represent me (and this was after I spoke with three different lawyers before him). He listened, showed compassion, and more importantly, had a wide grasp of all things divorce in New Jersey. My divorce finalized last week and I could not have asked for a better outcome. Because of Steve's diligence, knowledge and strong communication, a disunion that was getting rocky turned into a win for me. I couldn't be happier. Listen, I normally don't write reviews. Actually, I don't think I have ever written one. This time, however, I felt it was the least I could do considering the effort Steve put in and the outcome which followed. Divorces are complicated and at times ugly… attorneys are expensive and don’t always have your best interest at heart. Sometimes, they only see dollar signs… While my journey was long, painful and difficult, Steven was not. He was kind, knowledgeable and able to help me keep it together through a very long process. He didn’t waste my time (or money) with things that, in the end, would not prove helpful. He understood the law and took the time to answer my many, many questions without frustration. My elderly mother was separated from my dad and the next step was to get a divorce.
