This Law Office is One of a KIND! Attorney Anthony J. Pope Jr. and Attorney Joseph Alter are Simply the BEST! From Beginning to End They Get the Job DONE! Trust Me, I Couldn't Ask for Anything More and Their History Will Prove It.

**Title: Misrepresentation, Conspiracy, and Abuse of Power** Isaac Wright Jr., while acting as my standby counsel, not only failed in his professional duty but actively conspired with the judge and prosecutor to prosecute me. He withheld critical discovery that could have helped my defense and filed a deceptive motion for a mental evaluation without my consent, attempting to have me deemed incompetent so he could take over as lead counsel. His scheme failed when the mental evaluator determined I was not only competent but intelligent enough to continue representing myself. Despite Wright’s efforts to undermine my case, I eventually fired him and went on to win the case *Pro Se*. His unethical conduct, blatant disregard for my rights, and conspiracy with the prosecution make him untrustworthy. I strongly advise against hiring him for any legal representation.

I don’t know how the other lawyers perform in this firm but Ronald Hunt is not an outstanding lawyer. He is unreliable, never follow up and will prolong a simple case making matters worse. He must’ve never been held accountable for his actions as a lawyer because I’m really confused about his strategy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ENERGY OR MONEY on this place. He will embarrass your establishment.

On the morning of November 17, 2020 during the height of COVID, I reached out to the Anthony Pope Law Firm to schedule an appointment to discuss my accident case. Later that day I was sitting across from Anthony to discuss my case. What was most impressive was his quick response after spending 7-10 days calling numerous law offices and getting nowhere. He settled my case on May 5, 2021. The settlement was far more than I ever expected. From the time I first met Anthony, until my case was settled, he kept me informed during the entire process. Anthony and his staff were very professional. On June 28, 2023 I reached out to Anthony Pope to represent me in another accident case in which I had a slip and fall down a flight of stairs on April 4, 2023. After my surgery in August of 2023, Anthony settled my case on March 12, 2024. Once again Anthony and his staff always kept me informed during the entire process. I hope that I don't need his services again but if YOU need a lawyer your first call should be to the Anthony Pope Law Firm.

I went to Anthony for help with my husband’s case. I knew by looking at him, he was the man for the job. And he did not disappoint! He showed up to meet my husband one hour after I spoke with him and during Covid no less! He worked with me on his fee because he understood I was in a bad spot. He has walked us through everything and kept us up on all info immediately. Even after everything was all said and done, he still keeps up with us, unlike other lawyers. Anthony is extremely professional and diligent. He dots every I and crosses every T. It was amazing watching him argue in court…he’s a shark!!! He doesn’t back down like so many lawyers. He will fight…and how he loves to fight!!!!

I had the absolute best experience working with Johnathan J. Azar at McOmber McOmber & Luber, P.C. I did not know what to expect as this was my first time calling a law firm for legal assistance. Everyone I spoke with at this firm was so helpful, kind, and really made me feel so understood. They were transparent with me every step of the way. Particularly Johnathan Azar - always providing me with a timely update via phone and email, never left me wondering where I stood. I could not have asked for a better experience!!

I was referred to Anthony Pope by a friend of mine. He was very prompt in getting in touch with me and from the very beginning was honest and straightforward in speaking to me about my matter. I hired him and he was able to work out an outcome that was much better than anything I could have even imagined. He was always very respectful in speaking with me, always took my phone calls and answered any questions or concerns, and ultimately advised me in an excellent way that led to a great outcome for me. In addition, the times i visited his office his staff was very courteous and professional in every way . I am very pleased with the way he conducted himself in court and in meetings with me. I don't anticipate ever having any legal troubles again but regardless my attorney from this point forward is Anthony Pope. Thank you again Anthony for the great job you did for me. And thank you to the ladies that work in his office who were all very kind and to Joe as well for taking the time and having the patience to work with me throughout this ordeal. This man is a great attorney. I would recommend you at least consult with him before hiring anyone else.

Really good law firm

If I could leave a zero star I would.The fact that I was handed off to an intern named Joseph Alter, who had no communication skills and seemed to lack intelligence, is simply unacceptable. It is clear that he did not take the time to understand my concerns or explain the legal process to me. Instead, he pressured me into taking a guilty plea, despite my wishes to avoid having a DUI on your record. I didn't take the DUI plea in case you are wondering, why hire these jokesters? I ask myself the same question Moreover, it is shocking that even after four months, I have not received a call back from Alter, despite leaving multiple messages. This level of disregard for a client's concerns is appalling and shows a complete lack of professionalism on the part of Anthony Pope Law firm. In conclusion, I would not recommend Anthony Pope Law firm in Newark, NJ to anyone. Based on my experience, it is clear that they do not provide the level of service and professionalism that one would expect from a law firm. I would advise anyone seeking legal representation for a DUI case to look elsewhere, as you would be better off representing yourself in court than hiring these incompetent and unresponsive lawyers.
