Review of Atty Michael J. Hanifan PA, I hired Mr. Hanifan in August of 2020, to represent me as a plaintiff in a Fraud Case. During my initial phone consultation with Mr. Hanifan, he told me that my case was time sensitive and litigation needed to be initiated immediately! He had me in his office the next day requiring a $2,500 retainer, on the promise that my case would be opened and proceed quickly. Shortly after receiving my retainer, Mr. Hanifan stopped returning phone calls or emails concerning my case. Often having his secretary respond with excuses and vague answers to my questions. Mr. Hanifan, on my behalf, attended one meeting and wrote two letters, resulting in nothing! Aside from Mr. Hanifan not responding to any communications, he appears to not really care about his clients or the cases he represents aside from collecting a retainer. November 2020, I terminated my contract with Mr. Hanifan for lack to any progress on my case. The refund I received of my unused retainer, was embarrassing and Mr. Hanifan should be ashamed! For the work that was not performed I certainly paid a lot. Anyone looking for an attorney that will represent you effectively, PLEASE look elsewhere!
