Joe was amazing and did a wonderful calming my wife and I down and representing our son effectively and with a great outcome.

I have used public defenders as well as another attorney in the past for legal representation but after hiring Joseph Donatiello he will always be my first choice, not only with court matters but anything involving the services of an attorney. Mr. Donatiello was very respectful and payed careful attention to my case and all of the details. He was genuinely concerned with my case and wanted to get the best possible outcome for me. Everything that was happening and all the options were explained to me. All of my questions were answered and I never felt like I was “out of the loop”. I will recommend him to anyone in need of the services of an attorney. He worked with me on the payment as I couldn’t pay everything at once, he accepted partial payment and a few days latter I paid him the balance. In the middle the case I received 3 traffic tickets unrelated to the first case due the court/DMV making an error involving the payment of a parking ticket. Thinking I could handle this on my own I went to court to explain what happened as it was a mistake I could not have prevented along with the evidence that I was not at fault. The court essentially said It was not their problem, they refused to listen. Thanks to Mr. Donatiello it was cleared up quickly and I had all 3 tickets dismissed or reduced fines, I basically paid court costs. Since he was already representing me he charged me a very fair price to handle the second case. All in all both of the outcomes of my cases exceeded my expectations.

When I got T-boned just feet away from where my four month old son was sitting in his car seat, I felt like I was living a nightmare. I pulled over safely, ran around the car, and couldn’t open his door. I’ll never forget his scream. Since I was making a left turn and couldn’t remember specific details, I was issued a summons and a court date. I called Joseph J. Donatiello, Esq. immediately upon returning home from the emergency room later that night. He immediately reassured me and put my fears to rest. The very next morning, I filled out his information survey, which was both easy to understand and quick to complete. He contacted the municipal court that day and was able to procure a convenient court date and time so I was able to obtain child care. Throughout the weeks between the accident and the court date, Joe answered all of my questions quickly and efficiently, from insurance to proper courtroom attire. On my court date, I received a text message from Joe one hour before I was scheduled to arrive. He was already at the courthouse (an hour away from his office), had met with the prosecutors, and was prepping for my arrival. When I arrived, I was a mix of emotions: anxious, scared, and embarrassed. Again, Joe put me at ease by walking me through the entire process. Since he had arrived so early, we were called before the Judge had to listen to the remote testimonies from the jail. Out of possibly fifty people waiting to be heard, my case was one of the first to be brought up. Joe stood by my side and was able to reduce my ‘Failure to Yield the Right of Way’ (2 points, maximum fine of $200, possible imprisonment not exceeding 15 days) to one count of Obstructing Traffic (court fine $56, assessed court costs $33, no points). We were out of the court room in under half an hour. I now understand the confusion and anxiety that accompany a traffic violation. I hope to never be in this situation in the future. However, there is no one I would rather have by my side defending me than Joseph J. Donatiello, Esq. His professionalism and expertise are second to none. He treated me like family and never made me feel inferior or ignorant (even though I had no idea what was going on). I look forward to utilizing his services in the future (though hopefully only for when we close on our house)! Thank you, Joe, for making an overwhelmingly intimidating process seem like just another day at the office. You have restored my faith that kind, caring lawyers exist. You are truly one of a kind!
