An attorney fails to keep up with the law. Client takes things into her own hands and uncovers either laziness or incompetence. And so he fires the client, and keeps the money.And posts his excuse. And write a letter to her elderly parents basically saying that the daughter who is taking care of them screwed up. Casting doubt on her.
