Law Office of Douglas Herring is highly professional setup. The ease of consultation, followed by right counseling and timely updates are hallmark of this Law office. I had certain case in West Windsor Municipal Court with bench warrant for arrest issued. Doug went through the complaint and within minutes picked up the phone, spoke to court and got the case dismissed on the next date of hearing. Highest of recommendations! To a parent, a call in the middle of the night from a sobbing child at college 3,000 miles away is your worst nightmare. (I've been working on this for about 3 months pushing other paperwork back because it wouldn't be right to do something else in my eyes till I got this in which started at 6 pages long to choping it down to 4 to 3 to this and had to shrink 3 years of court to fit in here. Not only is a great Attorney but after a 3 year court case he's someone I can count on, someone I can trust, and now a great friend. Anytime throughout those 3 years that I called him he always answered and if I left a message no matter what the time was or if it was the weekend he has personally called me back every single time. Even when he was home and what little spare time he has which is really going above and beyond his duties as a lawyer. Now besides being a Defense Attorney from what I know and have seen he's a great father to his kids and he also is a EMT as well which makes him a great person in society and a privilege to know him. Now prior to opening his own practice in New Jersey he was a prosecutor in the state of California for 19 years. So he literally knows the laws; front to back in the West Coast to East Coast especially from being on 1 side to the other which makes him a better attorney from knowing how the prosecution thinks and what they can do or should do for each and every case. Obviously thats also depends on the person, record, and charges. But due to that fact he was on both sides makes him a more prestige, powerful, extremely intelligent lawyer which is someone you definitely want representing you. 3 years ago in December of 2016 I got in trouble for basically stopping a huge fight from escalating extremely by firing a single round from my legally owned handgun in a safe direction not near anyone to make a extremely loud noise to end this huge fight inside my house that involved myself, my mother, and this woman I was dating at the time. I'm not saying this is a best choice of action. (But at the time i had very limited choices due to having severe injuries from stepping on a bomb in Iraq, being full of shrapnel, and a single fall the wrong way could paralyze me for the rest of my life.) I am a expert marksman and was a trained infantry leader of military tactics, weapons, and a combat veteran who served in the military for 5 and 1/2 years until being forced Honorably Medically Retired from those injuries sustained on my 2nd tour in Iraq. Do too those severe injuries and being full of shrapnel NOTHING can be done for me to not be in severe pain. (I only am explaining all of this because it goes on to show how he really saved my life.) So to make the pain just bearable I am on a extremely high dose of medications since 2007 that I have to take everyday for the rest of my life or I would be basically tortured from from severe pain from those injuries and I have to/need too take them everyday not missing 1 day. Now since I have been taking them for 9 years prior to this event my brain has literally been rewired from the chemicals of the medication. So not having that high dose everyday legally prescribed would put me into such a risk of seizure and very extreme hallucinations and severe pain that isn't safe at all for me to the point the chance of me dying are high. Now back to Dec 2016 the night of this huge fight at my house the guy who was still screaming and arguing with now my sick mother and the girl I was dating stopped right after I did what I did in a extremely safe way. Now there is more to it but not many characters left. But because of the laws in NJ there's a law called the Graves Act. It's up to the Judge if he will give a waiver which Doug Herring was able to push for and get due to no criminal history and my past. But I truly believe he saved my life.

The State kept offering me 5 Years in State Prison. Mr. Herring and I decided to go to trial...jury found me "Not Guilty"! Mr. Herring was well prepared and made the prosecutor "look like a fool"! He also got my second case dismissed with a motion to the judge. If you want a REAL LAWYER, someone that is well known by judges and prosecutors...I would highly recommend Mr. Herring! Worth every dollar!

I was charged with a DUI and traffic citation. Seeing that this was such a serious offense I felt confused and was under a lot of stress. I was forced to research as much as I could in a short period of time, after many online referrals; reviews; American bar association; and LinkedIn searches. Douglas kept me calm and collected through out my horrible last 2 days! he managed to end my investigation without any charges being filed! So I got pulled over for my first DUI in Plainsboro, NJ in December 2014. After s few consultations with other attorneys, I decided to have Doug represent me. I was charged with Failure to Mainatain Lane, Reckless Driving, DWI, and DWI in a school zone. Doug was able to have everything but the DWI itself resolved along with the minimum suspension time and fines for my BAC. A week before I was to plead guilty, I got pulled over again for the same thing (oops) and Doug was able to handle it on the fly. For the second one, I was charged with speeding, failure to maintain lane, DWI, and reckless and once again Doug was able to have the other charges dropped. Both times, Doug got me the copies of my police report in a timely fashion and on top of that, I even have a copy of the footage of the pull over and stop.
