The Kingston Law Group has provided me with very efficient and effective legal services. They were always very clear about every step in the process and the pros and cons of different approaches. In the end we won a recent case and were able to collect the money we were owed with the least anxiety and overall best outcome. I have worked with them previously on HR matters and contract disputes, all with favorable outcomes, and am always impressed with their creative thinking and sound legal guidance. In January of 2021 I closed on my first home, and I don’t think I would have gotten through the process without Emily! She was my knight in shining armour the whole way through. Even though we got to the closing table in January I began working with Emily from July of 2020. She helped me navigate a very difficult process for the first home that I was under contract for, guiding me in a way that I do not believe any other law firm would. She made me feel comfortable, that she had my back, and made me feel at ease that she had everything handled. The communication and thoroughness that Emily has is truly what sets her apart, providing me with information from prior expertise and knowledge so that I can understand every little detail that was happening. When the first deal fell through, she was right there supporting me to move forward with the next one. For the last seven months we worked together for a common goal, and she ALWAYS had my best interest in mind, making me feel like family! I don’t often write reviews but I felt strongly that I wanted to write a review on DeClercq Law Firm. I am a Widow who just purchased a home and am in the process of selling my home. When my Husband and I purchased our home, he handled all the paperwork and finances. I of course was a part of all decisions but he definitely understood morel and was very educated on the process. One thing my Husband always said “Always use an Attorney when buying/selling a house. My Real Estate Agent referred me to Emily DeClercq and said she was highly recommended at the Real Estate Agency that she works for. When I called I was immediately impressed by the staff extremely professional and polite. I was connected to Emily and knew within 5 minutes that this was someone I wanted to work with. Emily immediately made me feel comfortable, answered any and all questions I had thru this whole process and honestly took away any stress I had over buying and now selling my house. Emily is a great listener, patient, has taught me so much, is extremely kind but she is right there to address anything that may come up and and makes sure any challenge is resolved. One example was the Seller of the home I purchased wanted to close on the house but then rent it from me, at first I told my agent that sounds fine to me but thankfully I had Emily to advise me of the potential problems/issues that may occur and saved me from making a really bad mistake. I truly am a Novice at this process but I didn’t worry because I knew that Emily was handling it. If you want someone that really listens to you, truly cares what you think and listens to your concerns, and really has your back and works hard for you then I highly recommended Emily DeClercq. It will be one of the best decisions you will ever make. I know it was the best decision for me. I honestly think everyone should use an Attorney when buying/selling your home.
