This is Barbara Shaw. My experience with this particular arbitrator (Mr. Dwyer) was so horrific. My ex-husband had been found to be not credible in a court of New Jersey Family Law, he also had been denied any payment reductions by the Appellate Court, and he was ordered to pay my attorney fees for this action. Following this I agreed to engage in a binding arbitration with my ex-husband. Mr. Dwyer heard the case. He had documented not only the wrong testimony but made errors on his final judgment and he had to make adjustments to his judgment, and had the audacity to charge me for his error. This man is not fair at all and is blatantly in favor of men. Beware. It took me several years to actually decide to write this review because I was so devastated by my experience.

Elliot is not only well versed in NJ family law, but he is a “Numbers Guy”. He was able to suggest a variety of solutions that were not only fair and realistic, but took into consideration both short and long term financial effects of divorce. Elliot is respected amongst his colleagues for getting the job done, and is appreciated by his clients for his empathetic approach to what otherwise could be a painful experience. I am grateful I had Elliot in my corner!

Exceptional service from an experienced family law attorney! After struggling with two previous attorneys, I found a true advocate in Elliot. His expertise and dedication were evident as they navigated my case through family court. Elliot not only provided invaluable support but also successfully mediated on my behalf, achieving positive outcomes, that I did not have with TWO previous attorneys. My only regret was not finding Elliot earlier - as my divorce would have been finalized much quicker (saving me a ton of money) and the positive outcomes would have been attained much sooner. When I first hired Elliot, I told him I was looking for a quick divorce. I thought my divorce would move along quickly. How wrong I was! Not only was my divorce immediately contentious, violence and chaos ensued soon after my filing. To be quite frank, I was embarrassed and unprepared. Elliot is not only knowledgeable in divorce, and custody issues, but he is also a great communicator. He was there for me in a way that went beyond the call of duty at times. He was able to handle a plethora of issues that came up during the most inopportune times. My divorce dragged on for over two years. It was very costly but Elliot was the constant professional and he got me the BEST outcome given my circumstances. If you have a complex divorce or in need of attorney who offers excellent legal advice with a healthy dose of emotional support, he is your guy! I highly recommend him.

I had a tough case with a nasty divorce. Elliot was beyond helpful. He was caring, responsive, and efficient. He was always just a phone call or a text away- even in an emergency situation on the weekend. He’s unfortunately been representing me for over 2 years as the case is forever ongoing but he is always helpful and we come out with endless wins. He’s always a step ahead of the opposing side. He gives great advice and is always practical. I wouldn’t have been able to get through the very dark time without him. He always acted as more of a friend than an attorney. He truly cares about his clients. Highly recommend.

I would say, 4.5 stars. He moved the divorce very quickly. Mediator used his template. He would contact me only when needed. I do wish that he’d respond texts sooner. Sometimes it takes a week or more. Pleasant. Well versed, super efficient.
