Mr. Magaril is an excellent lawyer. I used him for my divorce and everything went very smoothly. He answered any questions or concerns I had. I would highly recommend MR. Magaril. From day one I felt very comfortable with him handling my divorce.

I have had a number of cases wherein Michael Magaril was my adversary and dozens more where he served as mediator. As an adversary, Michael is very, very knowledgeable, professional and quite adept at getting to a resolution. He practices with absolute integrity. As a mediator, he is one of the most popular and trusted matrimonial mediators in Union County. I constantly recommend him to my colleagues and clients. His personality is such that both sides leave the mediation session pleased that his/her position has been heard and considered. He resolves a very high percentage of these cases.

Michael made a very ugly and stressful divorce, tolerable. In the beginning, he told me to prepare for a marathon and not a sprint..he was right. His professionalism, knowledge, and hard work got me a better result than I had ever expected. Michael was always available to talk, whether by phone, email or text. This includes nights and weekends. Not many lawyers would respond to your text on a Friday evening! Highly recommended.

I haver known Michael Magaril for many years and can truly say that he provided excellent legal support throughout, what turned out to be, a somewhat complicated divorce. I was in an abusive marriage that I needed to get out of quickly. I hired Michael Magaril after interviewing several attorneys. He was extremely professional as well as empathetic. I feared a long drawn out expensive divorce, but miraculously Mr. Magaril was able to grant my divorce in exactly 2 months. I attribute this expediency to Mr. Magaril’s knowledge and expertise, as well as the earned respect shown to him during all of our dealings with judges, attorneys and staff in the Union County courthouse. I had known Mike for years, and never thought I would need to use him, but life takes unexpected turns. Not only did I use Mike, but we needed another attorney for a particular part of my case, and that gentleman worked extremely well with Mike, and they both helped execute a very fast outcome. I believe 2nd fastest divorce in his history. 34 days from start to finish and there was a child involved. In short anyone that is ever going to get married should sit and do a prenup with Mike. If for whatever reason there is a reason to speak with an attorney because marriage may be having a breakdown, he is the guy to go to. I first consulted with him and his intitial recommendation was to not file for divorce. He gave a very precise and realistic expectation for every step along the way what this choice could or would do for the overall outcome. His rates were very reasonable, and his staff are very polite, and great to work with. You really feel that when you email or call them they actually care. It made the whole process much better having a team of support people to get you through the tramatic experience. He is someone who I would recommend to anyone, and he also does great restructuring of existing divorce decrees, so think of him for that as well. Overall he was a pleasure to work with, hopefully only once in my life, but if I re-marry I will use him for a pre-nup. thank you for everything Mike and Renee. You made my divorce a pleasure.

As an attorney myself, I have on numerous occasions referred clients, friends and family to Mike Magaril for advice and guidance on matrimonial issues. Mike has a unique view of this field of law . . . BE REASONABLE . . but he brawl with the best of them as well when needed. I have heard from my clients the same thing about Mike, "Mike cares more about me as the client and my life after the divorce than about the amount of his bill." I will continue to refer my clients to Mike and have every confidence that he will do what is best for them.

I have dealt with a lot of lawyers and this guy was truly horrible on every level. He was hired to review a prenup. After receiving an absurd $2,500 retainer (he was reccommended by a relatives lawyer or else I wouldn't have done it) I came down to go over the pre-nup that was written by my future husband and his attorney. He proceeded to hand me a copy that said in big black letters across every page "draft". The copy, printed out by his talented staff, was unreadable. Meanwhile, a clean copy was also sent in time for him to receive before we got together, but he didn't even realize it. Not to mention if he even cared to look at it before I got there, he had ample time to get a clean copy from the other lawyer. Anyhow, I assumed he had read through it and had bullet points to go over at least. It became pretty clear HE NEVER WENT OVER IT BEFORE I GOT THERE. He took a whopping 3.75 hrs at 300 an hr to confuse, frighten and tell me "I was getting nothing" like it was a will. He said, i hope you have a lot of time because this is going to take a while, insinuating it would be months and months of fleshing out and putting off marriage. I was so sad and disappointed. Finally I left, fatigued and stressed out, I didn't know what to think. I communicated with my future husband and he was stunned at is il-preperation and that it took almost 4 hrs to go over what he and his attornery drafted in under 1.5 hrs! I started to get very worried and looked into him on line the next morning only to find horrible reviews. I was so disgusted I let him go the next day. Having gotten my retainer earler, he pocketed close to 1k. The whole experience was horrible. Not only did he rip me off but he put me under undue stress stating "i was getting nothing". I later found another attorney, who reviewed it , followed up well and worked out a very fair agreement for me. In fact, it was a mostly fair agreement to start with anyhow, yet my lawyer had important changes made and represented well. And I paid a flat 1,000.00. If I had stayed with this Magaril, it would have been a truly expensive, stressful witch hunt to line his pockets and there would have been no telling when it would end. I hope I can help others with this review to steer clear of this man.
