I spoke with Vanessa this morning and although this office was unable to assist with my particular situation, she was extremely helpful and gave me a list of resources. Very compassionate and professional!

I was able to get information for legal aid, a food box and liheap information. I was injured on the job and was not accommodated for months. I finally had to resign due to personal reasons due to not being able to run from or after residents for their safety and mine.

My best advise is to just avoid all these ORGS. They employ attorneys and advocates who are extremely overt/covert abusive, dismissive and with zero ethics and integrity. They receive donations and federal money to do absolutely nothing to help anyone and this goes for the NMDRNM, Legal Aide and the State Bar of New Mexico. If you have a discrimination or civil rights complaint, then just do it yourself and submit it directly to them instead.

I live in a mobile home community with many elderly or disabled neighbors, and the previous owner sold it to a manipulative, intimidating and dishonest landlord who had no regard for tenants or their rights in New Mexico. The center for law and poverty provided us with an ethical, caring, and diplomatic representative to help smooth out the situation and protect the tenants from oppression, loss, and homelessness at no cost to us. They can even provide interpreters for non English speakers. Would definitely recommend if you are dealing with an objectively unethical landlord.

Do not fall for her reviews, she is not a good lawyer, she is a shady old attorney. She is your typical old lawyer who is seeking money. Of course compensation is necessary, but she takes your money with unnecessary expenses. She will give you bad advice to be able to enrich herself. There are now more immigration lawyers in New Mexico go with someone else!!! If you don't take my advice you will understand once you hire her. No se engañen por sus críticas o porque habla espanol, ella no es una buena abogada. Ella es tu típica vieja abogada que está buscando dinero. Ella toma su dinero con gastos innecesarios. Ella te dará un mal consejo para poder enriquecerse. Ahora hay más abogados de inmigración en Nuevo México ocupa otra abogada!!! Si no aceptas mi consejo lo entenderás una vez que la contrates.

She took over and handle my immigration case for petition to remove condition.she did Excellent job.she gave me enough time to prepare me for interview.she went with me for interview.and she explain really good to immigration officer.and I got my petition approve b'coz of her excellent skill to explain things easily in short time.I would highly recommend Mary for immigration issues.Her charges are expensive but I think it is worth it.
