Going through a divorce challenges one's level of trust in others. That said, from my very first meeting with Susan Barela, I could tell immediately that this was someone whom I could trust, as she asked the right questions, listened carefully to my responses and my questions in turn, so that we became "thought partners: from the start. Of course Susan was excellent in providing me with the proper legal counsel for executing a divorce in NM, but more than that, and what I really appreciated most, was her counsel about how best to move ahead to reach agreement with my former wife on the Marital Settlement Agreement. During that process, she incorporated my wishes into the draft but most helpfully she advised me so that I wasn't "negotiating against myself." It all worked out in the end, thanks to Susan. I give her the highest praise and offer my thanks.
