I was working as a Surgical Technician in a hospital in New Mexico and had a major work related injury in September 2019. I ended up being diagnosed as having Carpal Tunnel and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome by one of my employer’s doctors in January of 2020. My employer’s insurance company stated that they wanted me to get a second opinion and tried to force me to get seen by a doctor of their choice located in Albuquerque.
