After years of dreading the divorce process, I am thrilled to have made the decision to hire the Colwell Law Group. Marissa was wonderful from the moment we met, extremely attentive to concerns and thoroughly explained processes as to avoid confusion. Every step of the way I felt I was being listened to & guided, but always assured final decisions were mine to make - I never felt pressured and that was really important. It brought a sort of calmness to a rather chaotic situation. I never intend on having to go through this again, but will highly recommend the Colwell Law Group to anyone in this unfortunate situation.

I would recommend The Colwell Law Group to anyone out there seeking Legal help. I have had a great experience working with them. From the attorneys to the paralegals and all of the administrative team everyone has been devoted to my case, caring, and always very responsive. Whenever I called or emailed they would get back to me the same day with answers to my questions They are such a compassionate group of people who are willing to do whatever it takes to help you. They were very understanding and accommodating to all of my needs and made sure everything was done correctly. On top of the firm being well respected and competitive, I found that all of their employees really made my client experience amazing!

Would give no stars, but that's not an option. I feel they thought my case would be simple (though I walked in telling them it wouldn't before even retaining). I chose them. I read the reviews, and I was horrified by my experience. They did NOTHING but hemorrhage money on me, they got NOTHING accomplished, and belittled my case! They do not respond to emails or voicemails, and then have the audacity to charge for multiple emails when there would have only been one had they answered questions the first time. I have gotten more done in a week with my new lawyer then they did over the entirety of the time I was with them and spent considerably less money. Additionally, the ONLY bill I received (even after asking for them repeatedly) was after I switched lawyers and got the piddly little sum back. I do not feel they had the compassion I needed, nor were they able to roll with how much my case changed and how fast. I was up front that this would be the case, and it still seemed to come as a surprise. If you have a case that is not cut and dry, no complications, I do NOT suggest them.

Kaitlyn was my attorney. She was very knowledgeable on family law and knew the answers to all of my questions and concerns. She also was familiar with my judge and my son's attorney which ended up being very helpful and got us out of the court system that much faster because she knew exactly what to expect from them.

I've been trying to get the balance of my retainage refunded for the last 2 weeks without success. Have placed 4 phone calls and none were returned. Terrible customer service is their best attribute!

This firm is nothing more than a group of thieves who will take your money, will not do much on your case, will not offer payment plans and will then hold your file for ransom.
