On February 27 2023 Matthew Hug told me I would be receiving my check within two weeks. Long story short its April 18th, still no check. When trying to contact Mr Hug he very rarely answers the phone and eventually sent text messages, assuming my question. I have a long list of complaints about this attorney that I feel are worthy of the attention of the NY state bar Association.

Always had great experiences

Our first attorney suggested we contact Matt Hug for help with Objections to a Support Order written by a Family Court Magistrate. We did so, and sent Matt over 1000 pages of Court documents. Despite having just 2 weeks to spool up to what had transpired in our Court case, Matt wrote a stellar Objection document. We thought, "no way the Judge could read it and uphold the errors of the Magistrate." And, we were right! The Judge overruled the Magistrate’s Order, held the offending party accountable for her willful violations, and even ordered her to pay counsel fees. Later, at a hearing regarding said counsel fees, Matt Hug proved a worthy attorney and we were very glad to be represented by him.

Matt Hug is a professional, kind, honest, efficient lawyer. His guidance throughout our process made it a lot less stressful. He went out of his way for us, a true credit to the legal profession.
