As a practicing architect and having been involved with various real estate matters for more than 50 years, I’ve dealt with numerous attorneys. Jim Clark stands out above all the others. One of the things that has irked me with these other lawyers was how they would bill for every 5 minutes of their time and, although Jim is well-paid, I don’t have the sense he is nickel-and-diming. Thus, I’m not bashful about engaging in a dialog with him regarding my legal affairs. Jim is not one of the many lawyers who, looking to play it safe, are instinctively inclined to ‘kill a deal’. Rather, while pointing out potential hazards of something, he will also offer creative ideas to overcome them. So - what I like best about Jim is his patience and generosity in providing (sometimes lengthy) answers and explanations regarding questions and issues that I have had. He is thorough and articulate, using clear non-lawyerly language. His advice, given with options to choose from, has always been spot-on.
