As hard as it is for domestic survivors to speak out Ada Emily Williams will refuse to care what you have to say and makes survivors more traumatized and prolongs the healing process.

I talked to a very rude DA called Ashley. Wouldn’t recommend talking to her.

The DA attempted to make me plead guilty to a crime I didn't commit. If I were to reject the plea, I'd have to waste more money than the fine is worth to go to court. They still weren't willing to drop the charge in the interest of justice.

If I could give them a lower review, I would. Megan Horton and Nicole (victims advocate) called me in for a meeting regarding my fiancee and I. I tried to explain that due to neurological issues (previous stroke that caused Epilepsy and memory loss) I signed a false statement against my fiancee due to police insisting numerous times he hit me because my face was red. I kept saying I don't think he did and everything happened so fast, they then told me I needed to sign a statement or my children would be taken. Out of fear and not knowing my rights, I did.
The next day after realizing what happened and finally having a clear head (I had a seizure the day of the incident) I called the mechanicville police department and told them I was not in the right state of mind and they told me I needed to speak to the ADA.
I was already on my way to the District Attorneys Office when I called the police department for the meeting, as I get there I try to explain what happened and I am told by Megan that my fiancee is violent. I disagreed, he has no previous charges and he did not assault me, this is also told Megan Horton. (ADA) She told me she wasn't going to stand for that and I was a victim and needed to act like it. She then told me she was going to make sure he is fully prosecuted.
I was then followed to my car by one of her private investigators (Mike) and he assaulted me.
Since then (July 2022) every court date has been adjourned or he has been offered to have everything dropped if he agrees to a FULL STAY AWAY ORDER FOR 1 YEAR.
CPS was called by Nicole (victims advocate) although police didn't find reason to contact CPS. Alot of Childish retaliation because I refuse to press charges and testify against an innocent man.
I filed a formal complaint through the attorney general office for the assault from her private investigator and since then it has only gotten worse.

If you’re a victim of any type of assault in this town, it’s best to just start healing. In 2020, I was talked into a process that eventually led to trial. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience and went on for almost a year. Being that this case was on many news channels, with over 20 charges, as well as video proof that the defendant video taped himself, made me think that the DA’s office thought this case would be an easy win, which made me feel used for that purpose and not for justice. I was told a lot of lies by the ADA at the time (Michelle S.) and was never given the promised details from days of trial that I did not attend. I understand this type of crime is very difficult in convicting & the time spent on this case, but I wish that I never went to trial and hope that others realize the impact this can have on your life, before choosing to do what the DA’s office asks from you.

Funny how they will convict you but won't deal with you when you find an era in paperwork they have filed .Everyone that works at the District attorneys office should be investigated. Sad that they are crooked an nothing is being done about this matter!!!

They choose not to prosecute cases that have evidence for victims without a voice. When asked to put it in writing as to why, the request was refused. So apparently it is ok to commit Grand Larceny charges in Saratoga County and not be arrested, indicted, or prosecuted in Saratoga County. They refer the cases to civil court no matter what the amount of theft was you can only sue for up to $5000. Very unprofessional practices of our criminal justice system.
