I am a mother of 2 young children which were appointed an attorney. The attorney appointed to my children by the NY Family Court was Kristine Marshall. Ms. Marshall contacted me immediately and scheduled to meet my children in her office the next day as my Emergency Custody request was to be heard by a referee in two days. Ms. Marshall ensured that her clients, my children, were fully interviewed and ensured my children were comfortable and safe in her presence. A trial began immediately and I watched as Ms. Marshall entered into court everyday well prepared and dedicated to the well being of my children. Her intrinsic commitment to children as an attorney left no doubt in my mind that Ms. Marshall's extensive experience with the fragile lives of children is her only focus. She represented my children in a way that guaranteed their voices and fears were clearly heard in the courtroom. She advocated for an immediate psychological interview for my son whom she believed was at imminent risk for emotional distress. She proved her case every step of the way. She never made any comprise if it would affect the children. Ms. Marshall is perceptive in a way which allowed a judge to continue to grant a trial and prevent my case from being tossed. Ms. Marshall is a true attorney who investigates and adheres to ONLY relevant information for your case. I commend her more than she will ever know as she defended her young clients as if they were her very own children. I will never forget Ms. Marshall and all the evidence and reports she was able to garnish for my children as I now have all the hard facts produced by this trial to move forward to another court as my case was ruled as a jurisdictional issue. This was the case no one wanted or believed in and it went farther than I ever imagined due to the work of Ms. Marshall. My children were extremely proud of having her as their lawyer. They vowed to never forget her. Neither will I.
