My parents divorce case has been going on for years. Ava has not acted professionally with emails or phone calls. As the child involved in this case, divorce is heartbreaking situation for everyone involved, ESPECIALLY when one parent is mentally ill and more communication is needed in order to legally end things. She has the ability to file a motion to help my mother and has not. I would love to change this review when my parents’ divorce is finally over after this 5 year long battle.

Just horrible . Never answers your calls or returns them .. had a court date for visitations she appeared to court without me to dismiss the case .. do not recommend!!!!

Definitely one of the worst lawyers I ever came across! She lies! She don’t answer any of your calls or emails. Some people just don’t care and she is one of them . I suppose to been had my kids if my lawyer was doing they job. It’s sick and heartbreaking when she called and said my kids was released to me and still nothing happened. I called cps and they said my lawyer knows what to do and she still has not got the ball rolling. It’s ridiculous!

Worst lawyer ever. Never keeps in touch, never responds when you call or email until the day before or day OF your court appearance. Didn’t respond to three emails I sent over a course of a month and approximately two weeks. Didn’t respond until 25 minutes before my court appearance which I then MISSED because she told me I wouldn’t have to appear in court again as she’d settle it outside of court, then never did. She couldn’t even make it to that appearance so court must be adjourned for the fourth time. Ridiculously slow and unserious. Would rather receive counsel from a goldfish.

Mrs. Ava G. Gutfriend is amazing! Ava represented my husband in his custody battle. From our first meeting, Ava explained everything to us in terms I could easily understand and was always very responsive when we had questions outside of our meetings. I had a consultation with Ms. Gutfriend. At first I wasn’t happy with having to pay for a consultation. There are lawyers that don’t charge for it and it was a bit of a rough start with her office which made me nervous, but I went away feeling that it was money well spent. She left a good impression on me and seems to be a genuine soul. Ms. Gutfriend advised me that with my issue the best course of action was inaction which some clients might not like to hear…..but it was sound advice. Another lawyer may have pulled me in for more money and a possible bad result. So I appreciated what she had to say and left feeling like I did the right thing by seeking her legal expertise.

While no one wishes to find themselves in a child custody case, Belinda Arevalo is a compassionate, knowledgeable, and thorough attorney who can guide you through the process. She made a difficult process much easier to get through. She guided me through a very dark moment in my life. I am so thankful for my attorney’s dedication and professionalism. She is an outstanding attorney and I will refer her to anyone should they need an attorney.

This lawfurm has been wonderful through my case with the Boy Scouts of America. They communicate regularly respond to questions quickly. I realize lawyers don't have great track records however AVA hopefully other law firms will follow there lead and change how the world looks at lawyers. I am happy, I chose Ms. Arevalo as my divorce lawyer she was very detailed and clear about the process. The pandemic did slow down my case but Ms. Arevalo never failed to give me updates. Belinda is compassionate, honest and knows what she’s doing !. I’ve never hired or had to deal with a lawyer in my life up until this point, but I am glad my first legal matter was taken care of by Belinda, a true professional.

Today has been the biggest day of my life because thanks to Belinda, I WON sole legal and physical custody TODAY!! Belinda has been the best Attorney I have ever had in the last 7 years.
