Tom is an excellent attorney will serve your interests diligently and honestly. I have known Tom Lavin since 1977. His character is above reproach. We went to law school and college together. I have had the privilege of seeing him grow both personally and professionally. I am honored call him my friend and colleague. I give Tom my highest recommendation without qualification.

All I have to say is he let the statue of limitations get passed due on my accident. Since he never sued that means I cant get money on my case. I have a good case that wasnt my fault. The other car was responsable. I had to have surgery. Mister Thomas didnt want to go to court because he kept saying it costs money and he was talking to the insurance company and the other guy only had a little bit of insurance so it wasnt worth it. But he owes me to fight for me because he is my lawyer. Thats why I hired him. If it was easy I would of taken care of the case myself. But I dont know the law. But I know It wasnt my fault and I should of gotten paid. I am trying to figure out what to do about this. If anybody has advise please help me or if you have another lawyer who knows what to do please let me know.

I'm so glad I went with this firm! I've been in several car accidents—thankfully only two of them resulted in serious injuries. The first happened many years ago, and I called a high power law firm (who shall remain nameless) to pursue my case. They were great at first but then rarely got back to me or let me know what was going on, and when I finally met with the lawyers they told me that because they didn't have enough evidence my case had very limited potential and encouraged me to settle for a small amount. I thought that's just the way the law works, but through working with Mr. Lavin the second time around I've discovered there's more to it than that. First of all, the old firm told me that nothing happens right away and that I need to wait. This is true BUT there are certain things that need to be done right away, like PRESERVING EVIDENCE. I learned this during my first meeting with Mr. Lavin, when he called in his employee to send him to the intersection where the accident happened. They managed to get surveillance video from the Duane Reade on the corner which recorded the entire accident! When the insurance company refused to settle my case for a fair amount Mr. Lavin brought my case to trial, and that surveillance video ended up making a I ended up getting WAY more money than I ever hoped for. My advice to anyone injured in a car accident is to make sure to hire a firm that specializes in accident cases! Ask them what they are going to do to progress your case TODAY. And if you're in the NY area, you can't do better than the Law Office of Thomas J. Lavin!
