Will helped us to close on our first home during a global pandemic - the most stressful thing I've ever done - but working with Will was probably the easiest and most pleasant part of it. Will was a godsend on two issues related to my elderly mother. The first involved providing expert consultation on our options for protecting her assets were to face the need for expensive longterm care in a nursing home. He spent 90 minutes with us at no charge, explaining clearly and concisely what our choices were and what the relative merits/demerits were to each. He saved me hours of web searching that almost certainly would have resulted in a flawed understanding. Instead, I was clear and new exactly what next steps should be. As it turned out, we didn't retain Will to take those steps because we unexpectedly took advantage of an opportunity to move my mother closer to my sister in New Jersey. We turned to Will to serve as our real estate attorney and he brought the same level of competence, attention to detail, and client support to this task. He made the entire process effortless. I can't recommend him highly enough for either elder care issues or real estate matters. Were my mother still in New York, he'd be our go-to guy. My family retained Will to represent us through the purchase of our first home and to write our wills, living wills and heath care directives. (Glad we have them but hope we don’t need them!) During the fall of 2017 I had the good fortune of working with William as we tried to secure our first apartment in New York City. This task was made more difficult by the fact that I was working and living in Japan at the time. The process required much more correspondence and patience than might ordinarily be expected from an attorney as I am a first-time buyer living in a completely different time zone. Still, William made the process feel as natural as possible and was available to exchange a great many e-mails and speak via Skype during times that were less than ideal for a lawyer operating out of New York.
