Debbi has been able to help me out with my O-1 visa case like no other lawyer has through her intelligence, knowledge, and creative thinking. As a Creative Director and O-1 visa holder of over 8 years, it was a shock when my latest O-1 visa was refused at a European consulate interview back in fall 2020, with the travel ban cited as the reason (which they are not allowed to do). The subsequent 221g that I was issued narrowed the course of action I was allowed to take. I’m a young Actress from Germany and Debbi Klopman helped me to get an “O-1 visa” and a “National Interest Exception” during these most complicated times of COVID Lockdowns and restrictions. At the beginning it was very unlikely that I would get the visa. But Debbi didn’t back off and helped us through the whole process. It started with 10 letters of recommendation that we had to collect and an enormous press list. Debbi was in charge of both these things that were needed for the first step. In the following steps she filled out tons of forms and wrote numerous emails to different embassies that were in lockdown during these times. Although she had to ask for answers several times, Debbi always got them. When I was finally invited for an appointment at the embassy, Debbi helped me prepare for it and made sure I felt safe in this whole process. After the appointment I had to send my passport back in and they didn’t bother to send it back to me until Debbi asked them again to do so. Over the years I have worked with numerous attorneys in order to procure visas for cast and crew members to work on the films that was producing.
