HELLO. I would like to share my experience with Marina Shepelsky and her office. The first time I called them was around 4-5 years ago. Then I was looking for information how to get my Green card, since my husband was not a citizen. Marina guided us through and in 6 month my husband became a US citizen and I got my Green card shortly. Marina's office helped me with all papers and filing. I just got i card in mail :) Now I am a Citizen and got back to Marina for help with my mom's status adjustment. We are in the process now. But I can ask, call, email question and bother Marina. I do it pretty often... pretty often...sorry...but so far I get quick and informative responds every single time. Thank you Liza

I am writing this review on the behalf of my friend. She has been looking for a divorce lawyer and of course with the high reviews on Google, she went to inquire more about the potential case with Marina. Jacob, the secretary, told her she would have to speak with Marina for a consultation first that would cost $200 (that would serve as a deposit) and would last about an hour. Marina spoke with her for five minutes and was an hour and a half late to the call appointment without any notice. Long story short, after finding out how much the fees would be in a thorough document via email, she would not be able to proceed further with the case with them. She wrote an email explaining the situation and also asking if the deposit was refundable as there was no reason to pay $200 to speak with a lawyer who would not be proceeding with the case and she only got to speak to for five minutes. This email was sent to both Marina and Jacob. When she didn't receive a response, she called the next day and Jacob picked up with a nonchalant hi. She asked if they received the email and he responded yes. When she then proceeded to ask if the deposit was refundable, he said that Marina had already discussed it. She then said that did not answer her question regarding the deposit. He said it is nonrefundable. Which would definitely have been nice to know because neither of them stated it was nonrefundable. When she asked if he was planning to email her a response, he said "You called so I am not emailing back. The deposit is nonrefundable." and she asked further if they planned on telling her that and he said "I have never, NEVER, said it was refundable". But they also never said it would be non refundable. Then also said he was the manager of the firm instead of the secretary. The manner he was speaking to her with was one that did not cross her as professional when she was inquiring about a response to an email she sent when she was a potential client. In all, I thought it would be right to post a review about her experience with the firm, although short, it was still one that was telling. The manner in which Jacob spoke to her was not one anyone should ever be spoken to.
