She’s an awful person and only cares about making money and playing with the big boys. She’s part of the Marc Abram’s and Carol Most network.

From my experience, she skewed our conversations to support her decisions. Often she wouldn’t follow parent coordinator protocols; she’d rehash issues that were already decided, engage in lengthy one-one conversations, and broach topics that weren’t hers to decided all of which ended up costing me $20,000 a year. She’d regularly bill three months late and repeatedly promised to bill more timely and never did. She became irate with me when I couldn’t pay and told me that I could open up another credit card to pay her because her husband was out of work and she needed a new roof. She was friends with the other sides attorney and never disclose that to me. They were even Facebook friends. The judge called into question her decisions which she had no supporting evidence for and reprimanded her several times. Thankfully, the judge removed her. Michelle asked if she could stay on even after the judge removed her. Both sides said no. She have to make up that income elsewhere maybe actually work for it.

Ms. Bermel was thoroughly dedicated to my son and daughter and very available at all times. Her knowledge of custody and visitation and parenting in general is amazing. Even my ex admitted that she was terrific. I strongly recommend her.

As others have stated, she’s solely in it for the money. She tends to retread issues - runs up the bill and only bills 3 months at a time. She has little to no impartiality. I know she’s been removed from cases, which says a lot if not everything.

I’ve had the wonderful experience working with Ms. Bermel through a terrible custody situation. Ms. Bermel remained impartial, transparent and honest throughout the process. What I most remember is how much the Court respected her for her clarity, fine judgement and impartiality. I would turn to her again for any counsel - legal or otherwise.

Michele navigated an amazingly difficult parent custody case and acted as the PC. She really looked out for the best interest of our child, which was the most important thing for me. She never made it about the parents but always kept the best interest of the child in mind while making a decision. In the end everything worked out amazing. All the professionals involved in the case also agreed with Michele. It was so reassuring to have someone so professional with so much experience involved in our situation.

She was court appointed Parent Coordinator. From the beginning, I doubted her impartiality and once she was no longer the PC, I learned she was friends with my ex's attorney. She never disclosed this to me. The judge said that she hoped things would be better between me and my ex after Michele wasn't involved.

Very unprofessional and terrible billing practices. Unresponsive to several request regarding a custody matter and she wasn’t good at reading emails. I would have to reexplain everything after sending her emails. Very ineffectient and costly. I saw another review on different site that said the same thing.

I hired Mrs Bermel after a very bad experience with another lawyer. Mrs Bermel was so responsive and helpful during my divorce that I can't say enough about her. I know I was frantic a lot but she took my calls any time and any day and was so knowledgeable, not just about family law but also about making sure my son's future needs would be taken care of. His teachers commented to me that they had never dealt with such a thorough and concerned lawyer before Mrs Bermel. I strongly recommend her and I don't think you could do better if you are going through a bad divorce like I did.

Ms Bermel proved to be an exemplary professional in helping me through a difficult issue regarding my children's circumstances during a divorce. Her knowledge and experience were quite evident and her obvious concern for my kids above all other matters was truly appreciated.
