“He knew as much, though had me come see him at his Commack office, where he spent more than an hour listening intently to me, going over my proof and evidence, gathered over time from Geico, the supporting docs sent to me from their underwriting department, on record since 2004. Offering strategies for a defense, calling his network of attorneys' people he knew could help me, dispensing valuable advice worth more than gold, and finally, commiserating with me about what a bum deal I'd gotten 15 years ago, and what awful misfortune I'd been dealt vis a vis the skunky lawyers' who'd botched my present case.”

Inconsistent communication and responsiveness during ongoing cases
“I was in a panic and needed a family court lawyer asap. Joel is the only person to answer and give me advice right away. I filed all papers and met with him the same day. He stayed in contact and did everything he was supposed to do. I was so happy with his services and then about 6 months into the case it became harder and harder to get ahold of him. He wouldn't answer calls or emails court dates were coming up and I had no idea because there was no communication.”

Potential lack of diligence and attention to detail in some cases
“This man is a very dishonest person he took my case and I had to fire him because he did as he liked and always had an excuse as to why he didn't file the documents I requested. the first appearance he came 1 hour late and when he finally showed up he conversated with others for about 10 minutes before coming to me.”
