I was referred to Alan after my divorce as I was facing mounting challenges from my ex spouse. Alan’s approach wasn’t like most other divorce attorneys, he wanted to understand my situation, my life, my circumstances and I quickly learned he cared about me as a person and the well being of me and my family. I knew this was the wrong place in the introductory meeting. A mediator should at a minimum get their facts correct, especially after being corrected on two occasions; Alan originally assumed what my salary was, and then misquoted it twice thereafter in a 10 minute period. Additionally, he came off in a threatening manor; speaking about the room we were currently in as the "light" room, and he didn't want me to have him going into his office...which was visible through a pane of glass, that was the "dark" room. At that point, I said, "You said at the beginning of all this, if at anytime you feel uncomfortable you could just walk out. Well, consider me telling you, I'm uncomfortable and I'm walking out." At this point, Alan stood up and said, "That's ok Eric, you would have been a fart anyway." Do yourselves a favor, find a different mediator.

Mr. Finkel served as a mediator for my divorce and he made sure that both sides were comfortable with the terms. He did not favor one side over the other and helped us through a difficult process. He was knowledgeable, responsive and professional. I would recommend him to help anyone through the mediation process.

Stanley Somer was very thorough in explaining my rights. My brother will also use this law firm . Other firms just tell you what you want to hear along with price tag. Would highly recommend.
