this "law firm" is handling my disability case currently. Mr. Gorton is the worst example of an attorney that I have ever seen in my life. He is very rude and obnoxious when and if you get the chance to speak with him. I had to wait from June 26 until Oct.13. for him to return my call. The only reason he called on the 13th was because I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for several of his actions including falsely advertising on his company website that they are an accredited member of the BBB He procrastinates in preparing for first hearing date because according to his retainer agreement he can make 3 to 4 times more by losing at the first hearing. One of the biggest mistakes that he does make is that he will allow you to audio tape all meetings and phone conversations. You must do that. Also read look up and read NYS Rules of ethics for Attorneys. Passing the Bar exam only makes you an attorney! It doesn't make you smarter than the rest of the world!!!!!! I don't know why the review says google user. My name is Edward Hubbard. I plan to release the recorded conversations on youtube so everyone can see that the calm soft spoken man in the commercial ad is just an act. FYI when they started getting bad reviews on Facebook they blocked anyone from adding a review. that is why I am posting here. Update After having constant problems trying to get in touch with Peter Gorton and or get updates on the gathering of my medical records I sent him an e-mail stating that I would revoke his right to act or speak on my behalf if we could not sit down face to face and discuss my grievances. He replied back saying this is unacceptable. Then on Oct. 29th he sent a message to the judge asking for permission to withdraw from my case. The judge allowed him to withdraw. He did nothing else for my case. I went to my hearing today alone. represented myself only to find out that this moron of an attorney has requested to the court that he still get his pay!!!! Watch out everyone Peter Gorton is a con man!!!!

he dragged my case out as long as he could so he could get the max amount. after I was awarded, social security gave me problems paying me. he told me I had to wait and there was nothing he could do. I live in a shelter. all he wants is his money and he's not concerned about how long it takes for me to get my money. get a lawyer that will help you and actually do the valued work that equals his pay.

Went to court 8/22 and got a yes today in the Mail TY Mr Gorton!!
