I don't have a word to describe how great Natalie Markfelt law is, she did a great job from the start until the end of my divorce process. I wanted this to be good a experience. She was referred to me by my coworker. We’re not in the military and I trusted him. Being a woman of color, I try to support other black women. She didn’t start the process with me but came in at the end. I felt like I could trust her and the communication seemed good. I closed on my house September of this year. By March I discovered my house had two open permits from the 1980’s that I wasn’t aware of at the time of closing. I called everyone that was part of the closing process. I was informed I should reach out to my lawyer who would work with me to get it closed. She let me know it was on the title company that was as far as it went. Now the title company is telling me I need to speak with her. I feel like I’m doing more work than both of them. She’s been paid so she has no interest in figuring it out. Very disappointed.

Mr Rajiv is very knowledgeable and very proactive. I found him online. Took care of our non paying tenant case. He kept us updated and we got a good outcome from our case.

My wife and I had separated and she was not allowing me to see my two young children, forcing me to file for divorce. My case was difficult in many ways and Ms. Markfeld was able to explain the divorce and legal process and give me the advice I needed to make critical decisions. She represented me very well so that the divorce and child custody matters were resolved in my and my children’s best interests. I was able to get joint custody of the kids and include stipulations in the divorce agreement that they get the familial and educational support they need. I am very happy with the outcome of my case and would highly recommend Ms. Markfeld as a lawyer for anyone facing a divorce.

I hired Mr. Gildin under the impression that his reviews hold true to his work ethic of professionalism and honesty. Like others on here, all was good up until he collected the $3k retainer fee, (which was all of my savings, I'm Physically disabled and live on a small fixed income and yes Mr. Gildin was made fully aware of that), then the disappearing act commenced. I have sent countless emails, text messages and left numerous messages for him regarding updates to my case that were simply put, ignored. I never recieved any correspondence, verbally or written to evidence he's done anything at all on my case. Since I had no one to contact other than Mr. Gildin and every single phone number noted for his office/s located in every borough under the sun go straight into the abyss of his voice-mail. Text messages, emails and voicemails go unanswered. Last time we spoke, which was briefly and almost two months ago (this after being ignored by him practically since this all started in December 2022) he claimed he'd call me back within two days tops with his assistant "Sara Jackson" on the line to introduce me so that I had another form of contact aside from him, so that I have someone who can stay in constant contact with me for updates, etc. When I asked him for an update, like whether or not a petition to my case was filed, he wouldnt answer me, he just claimed he wasnt at his desk and just rambled on and on about being so busy and that he just had too much going on that he can't communicate with me as he originally agreed he definitely would. Well that was months ago now. (This has been going on since December 2022, we are now approaching May 2023). On March 23, 2023 a certified mail letter I was forced to write as a result of his lack of communication and professionalism was recieved and signed for by a "Debra Rordan" of his office at his "Queens, Fresh Meadows" office politely firing him and kindly asking for the return of my retainer fee minus any made up fees he might try to claim up until this point. I recieved no response, to that letter. So I emailed him again and left messages to no avail. Now I'm left with no choice but to proceed with my complaint to the Bar. DO NOT USE THIS SO CALLED ATTORNEY. SAVE YOURSELF AND REFRAIN .
