Cons
1
Firm may be unwilling to take on certain cases or provide explanations for declining representation
“To answer: I was never given the option to become a client of your firm. Your offices reviewed my matter and declined to represent me. I don't have a problem with this, but what does bother me (and the reason for my 1 star review) is that your attorney didn't even offer a cursory explanation of why he declined to represent me.”
2
Firm may require large upfront retainer fees, which can be a barrier for some clients
“Do not go to them. They will make you sign a retainer agreement and pay upfront the retainer fee regardless if you win or not. There's no refund if there isn't a resolution that is feasible for the client.”
3
Firm may be more focused on maximizing their own profits rather than prioritizing the client's best interests
“All they care about is money....don't waste your time with these people,,,not worth the effort,,,,how could you have your secretary call a potential client telling them they have to pay a $2.500 up front fee because they have a strong case when the client was only interested in a contingency plan,,,,I don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure this out,,,win or loose you still pocket $2.500 and the client remains the fool..,,”
