Great firm. Very responsive and knowledgeable attorneys.

I recently used Sherry Chu for an apartment closing. She was very thorough and extremely pleasant to deal with. Her fee was very reasonable and she did a great job. Sherry has an amazing paralegal - Chin, who was extremely responsive to all of my questions via email and phone. I strongly recommend the Chu Law Firm.

Anything having to do with the law can be nerve racking....add in buying a home for the first time adds more stress that I wasn't prepared for. I am so glad I had Sherry and Chin on my side. Aside from the expert advice, they really held my hand and walked me through crucial decisions. They advocated for me when the seller's lawyer became very sexist. I couldn't have asked for better guides on the journey. I recommend them now to everyone that is buying a home. If you want quality, high level, customer forward services this is the firm for you.

We’ve worked with Sherry and Chin for over 8 years now and they are amazing! Sherry is so knowledgeable and thorough. She takes the time to answer all questions and made us feel really comfortable asking anything we had a question about. Chin is so diligent and on top of everything. I called a few times right before the end of the day and she got me the info right away. Highly recommend using this law firm!

I would strongly recommend against using Chu Law Firm. I was told one price for the attorney, Sherry Chu’s, legal services over the phone. Later, albeit a short time later, when I e-mailed her assistant to confirm the fee, I was informed of an additional fee that was never mentioned over the phone. Additionally, I believe that Sherry completely overcharged for that work, which the assistant, not the attorney, performed. I found Sherry Chu very difficult to get in touch with and I was only able to communicate with her assistant most of the time. I was very unhappy with Sherry Chu’s performance.

Sherry and her paralegal Chin were absolute pleasures to work with. They assisted with our first co-op purchase and things could not have gone any smoother. Sherry and Chin are efficient, professional, responsive, and excellent communicators. Most importantly, they made us feel like they had our best interests at heart. As first time home-buyers, we felt secure and confident having them on our team. If you’re a homebuyer, look no further! Sherry and Chin are the best.

Scott Kestenbaum worked on the sale of my co-op in Great Neck while I was remote, i.e. after I had moved out-of-state. He did an excellent job. Attention to detail and communication. Scott always stayed on top of things, made sure everything was completed with time to spare, and kept me apprised of how things were proceeding. Since I was remote for nearly the entire time, his care and timely updates allowed me to focus on other things instead of worrying about the sale. Effort level. Scott was proactive about handling third parties for me. More than once I was pleasantly surprised to hear "I can handle that for you." I expected to spend a lot of time on the phone with banks, New York State, etc., but he just took care of everything. Knowledge and experience. A couple of unexpected issues arose, and one was particularly hairy having to do with New York State taxes. Scott always knew what was going on and what my options were. He took the time to explain the issues and what the practical ramifications were. I felt like I could make reasonable decisions quickly thanks to his advice. Having experienced a similar transaction from the buyer's side here in Massachusetts, I can contrast my experience with our attorney here, who was completely fine, and with Scott, who was excellent and exceeded all my expectations. In short, my experience with Scott was outstanding.

Did an excellent job of resolving a seemingly-intractable problem. 5 stars -- 6 if I could -- for professionalism, communicativeness, and ultimately results.
