She was clear and fair in answering any of our questions and was careful to take us one step at a time to bring our case to a successful conclusion. I have known Carolyn Zenk for over 10 years. She is a devoted environmental lawyer and her practice also provides divorce mediation. She has represented the Group for the South Fork (now Group for the East End). She has had many accomplishments saving the East End wildlife from development. A former Southampton Councilwoman she is experienced in local government. I have found her to go beyond to help out and always happy to do so. I had the pleasure of hiring Carolyn as my attorney a couple of times. She is a passionate and just mediator. She listens and then informs the law. She is able to use simple words to teach if necessary. She takes her time to make sure the law is understood by her clients. Then fairly helps her clients agree to a fair and middle ground. If you are looking for a fair knowledgeable lawyer, she is the one.

Mrs. Zenk- charges by the hour, therefore she makes sure you spend at least 4-5 hours with her, to chat about your life, and give you " financial advice" instead of looking at legal documents you are hiring her for, and solving the problem. The bill just kept getting higher, & won't work any further until cash/ check is paid in full. I never got a real quote on my case,'or a set price, it was always "I charge by the hour" I spent 2k for her to write up a 10 page letter, some phone calls? nothing got done, or resolved with this attorney. Carolyn was great. She was able to solve our problem in no time. Compared to our former attorney who dropped the ball. Carolyn also recommended another attorney who was great in a field of law she does not practice. We highly reccomend Carolyn.

My husband and I retained Carolyn's skills for our prenuptial agreement. While I was originally skeptical of the entire idea , I left feeling that every couple should go through the process. Carolyn was warm yet professional. She provided a wonderful presentation to educate us about what a marriage means legally, explaining legal complexities in "layman's terms." When drawing up the terms of our prenuptial agreement Carolyn was flexible and fair, advocating for both of us equally, coming to an outcome that we were both pleased with. Carolyn was patient yet diligent, and was somehow able to make an experience that carries a negative connotation feel romantic. I left feeling confident and protected in my relationship, and in my understanding of what it means to be married. I would highly recommend Carolyn Zenk for any legal process that can be resolved through mediation. She was professional, compassionate, and affordable. A true pleasure to work with.
