Deb is hard working yet personally approachable. While it is usually that you encounter her on inconvenient terms she knows how to make the times less stressful. When dealing with Ms. Fiss you will definitely appreciate her attention to detail along with a reassuring personality. Ms. Fiss is the quintessential New Yorker with a Queens flair. Last but not least she is willing to fight for what she believes to be right as her clients representative.

At first she seemed lovely and with good intentions. Mind you she charged me for the first consultation. This was my first time seeking a family court and divorce lawyer I had no idea what to expect from her I shared with her my past experiences with lawyers taking my money and canceling me several times throughout the pandemic. I was desperate, so I googled an attorney closest to my area. She came off at me because I brought in all my court documents and started yelling at me to organize them and how unprepared I was. At one point she even scolded me telling me “ignorance was not an exception in the court system. I began crying and not once did she apologize or felt any empathy whatsoever despite me sharing her my experience with the cancellations and adjourned cases I underwent with family court. The “spiritual” person she claimed to be was not once seen in my experience she was condescending and very rude and nasty. I wish her nothing but the best.Luckily I found a attorney who had patience and all the time in the world to help me with my custody and support matters.

I can't say enough about Debbie--her warmth, her professionalism, and her ability to see people as people make her the ideal attorney for anyone going through a divorce. Thank you, Debbie, for being my empathetic and relentless advocate during the toughest time of my life.

I was in a rut that lasted nearly 10 years since getting separated without being able to finalize my divorce with my previous attorney. Luckily I had the initiative to reset my divorce efforts and hire Debbie. Upon our first meeting she filed for divorce to set the process in motion that very day. Several months later I was signing my final divorce paperwork and the process was complete. Now if only the courts could be as efficient as Debbie. I am grateful for her strategic guidance and nuanced knowledge of NY state and Queens family law to help navigate my rights while taking into account the best interest of my child.
