5 years ago a state trooper hit me head on going the wrong way in my lane, speeding around a sharp curve. He then tried to blame it on me, fake a 911 call and had his teammates harass me on multiple occasions. I suffered multiple injuries including 4 rotator cuff tears, one that they can never mend. I slept sitting up with a metal cast holding my arm at a 90° angle for 6 weeks. I couldn't put on my own clothes, let alone perform other basic human functions. I also have suffered PTSD and other mental anguish. After multiple appeals on their part, we won the case! It takes a lot to stand up to bullies. He stood up to the New York State Troopers and won the largest amount ever awarded for my case. That took courage. I’m so proud of us. He also took care to be sensitive to having me view the video of my accident, which he knew would be traumatic, and had stills printed so I didn’t have to relive the accident.
